On Thursday, May 8, 2014, Montgomery County and Prince George's County public safety personnel and partnering organizations participated in simultaneous Maryland/National Capital Region (NCR) full-scale emergency-preparedness exercise. Montgomery County's exercise took place at the Maryland SoccerPlex and Discovery Sports Center in Germantown. Two large scale exercises happened concurrently, including an IED exercise and a Hazmat incident exercise.
